Hello!
My name is Aaron Ruby, and I am a musician and sound engineer living in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation from Webster University in Saint Louis, MO with a B.A. in Audio Production, I have provided my services as an audio engineer for KDHX FM 88.1, and Lo-Fi Saint Louis.
Later, I moved to Chicago, where I have run live sound and mixing for music venues such as the Whistler, Honky Tonk BBQ, and Red Line Tap/Heartland Cafe’.
In addition, I have been writing, performing and recording music for over a decade. I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer, playing in groups and steadily creating my own solo recordings. Since 2013 I have performed guitar and lead vocals for Chicago-area rock group Dog Brain, recording seven albums with the band so far.
Music is my passion, and I enjoy every part of the process. From songwriting and performing concerts, to running the mixing board for a variety of artists.
As a professional audio engineer, I am available for studio and on-location recording, live sound for music, and original music and sound design for digital media.
My other interests include video games, books, nature and sleep.
